After a brief reprieve in Q1, the proportion of London businesses reporting a rise in business costs increased across all key areas in Q2. This marks a return to the upward trend observed in late 2024, driven most prominently by utilities and fuel. Two-thirds (66%) of respondents cited energy as a growing cost pressure – up from 63% in Q1 and 61% in Q4 of 2024 – while 55% reported rising fuel costs, a steady climb across three consecutive quarters.
