This technical assistance report aims to support the Government of Uzbekistan (GoU) in formulating an economy-wide, long-term low-emission development strategy (LT-LEDS). Uzbekistan strengthened its unconditional Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) target in its 2021 submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit of gross domestic product (GDP) by 50 percent by 2035, up from the 35 percent specified in it
