These disruptions include a shift towards protectionism among key actors in the international economy, a deepening of geopolitical rivalry centred on competition for industrial and technological leadership, a retreat from multilateral cooperation by some countries that are considered pillars of the system and a transition from a rules-based world order to a new reality of “weapon
