Tunisia is a North African country with a population of nearly 12 million as reported in the 2024 General Population and Housing Census1 .Following the 2011 Jasmine Revolution, Tunisia adopted a democratic constitution in 2014 that was later revised in 2022 to establish a presidential system. However, significant ongoing political transitions and governance challenges remain (National Institute of Statistics Tunisia, 2024; UNPRPD, 2023).
