An after-action review (AAR) is a qualitative review of the actions taken to respond to a public health emergency. The country-led and country-owned initiative is conducted with the purpose of identifying examples of best practice, areas for improvement and lessons learned [1]. An AAR takes place after the emergency event or situation has been resolved. It seeks to identify what worked well and what did not and how these practices can be maintained, improved, institutionalised and shared with
