Fungal disease, and the growing threat of antifungal resistance, represent one of global health’s most underestimated threats. Affecting more than 300 million people and causing millions of deaths each year, these infections also inflict chronic illness, disability and loss of productivity. Nevertheless, they remain largely invisible within global priorities despite their profound human and economic toll. The rise of antifungal resistance is further eroding already limited treatment options,
