This report describes the Propel Teacher Residency Program, which prepares K–12 teachers through a yearlong apprenticeship and mentoring. Using administrative and survey data, this report summarizes higher early career retention for residency graduates and small positive associations with student course grades relative to non-residents. These results offer insights for designing teacher residency programs.
