In 2025/26, Uganda is forecast to produce 5.8 million bags (60 kilograms) of Robusta coffee and 1.1 million bags of Arabica, remaining the world’s fourth-largest Robusta producer behind Vietnam, Brazil, and Indonesia. Coffee production is vital to the Ugandan economy, generating nearly 20 percent of foreign exchange earnings from $1.1 billion of exports in 2024. Top markets include the European Union, United States, Sudan, and India.
